Wild World
Wild World was the first Animal Crossing game that I played. I may sound like an old person saying this, but it was in 2010 on a device called the Nintendo DS Lite. My DS was a sky blue and I lost it in my school backpack for about 4 years, but that's another story.
Wild World was the game that got me hooked on Animal Crossing at the early age of five. I don't remember much about it now, because it was about 10 years ago I last played it. Anyway, I remember that my house was yellow in the game and I had cherries as my fruit. I wish I could play it again, but I lost my DS's charger. A lot of the information from this point will have had to come from the internet. You can see the attributions for sources I've used in the code for this page.
The language that was used in the game was called Bebebese, which was basically just a series of sounds used to go along with the text spoken by characters, instead of the sounds designed to be like speech used in Animalese, the other language used in Animal Crossing. The game was actually five years old when I played it, which I didn't realise. It's also been re-released for the WiiU (who even has one of those though?).
When I used to play Wild World, it was popular for people to close their game and change the time on their DS, so that they could skip ahead and get more resources and have more fun. There was a certain character created to prevent this, though. Presenting...
Mr. Resetti
Mr. Resetti would show up in front of the house of resetters and yell at them. That was essentially his only role in the game, and boy was he good at it. He made so many children cry, he threatened to delete so many towns. He was really my favourite character of all of them in Wild World!
Unfortunately, there is no need for resetting police in New Horizons and Resetti works for the emergency rescue service instead. :-( We will wait for his return as long as it takes.
