Yes yes, you've reached the Crossing Corner page on Nook, owner of Nook Inc. The TaNOOKi (raccoon dog) responsible for adopting Timmy and Tommy. Timothy and Thomas Nook. He named one of his children after himself. How admirable.
Nook runs a great business plan that is totally not liable to any exploitation - giving out huge sums of money to villagers without any interest rate or time limit for paying back. After upgrading their house for the last time, most people don't even bother paying off their loans. Plus, his shop always buys things like fruit and shells (which are worth hardly anything in real life) for thousands of bells and he lets people pay back their debts to him with their good experiences (a.k.a Nook Miles).
While this is pretty chill and makes him much less hateable than real company owners HOW IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE A SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MODEL?
I guess it's because he runs the only store in existence, but still.
